146645Photo #146645New cycleway should be constructed following river Stour from Bonded Warehouse to Cradley Heath. Avoids large hills on either side and busy roads. The route can use quiet streets on large sections. It can start from NCN54 which runs behind Mill Race Lane, then the current dirt trail could be surfaced to the Recycling Centre. After running through there, from the junction at Stamford Road a new cycleway could be constructed North of the river to Bagleys Road. From there the route could either continue on Bagleys Road to Calednia, or cross the river south on an existing dirt track which could be surfaced to Timmis Road and Bott Lane. From there the route should follow Mears Coppice and Simeons Walk, turning right to Dunns Bank, or a new cycle track could be constructed North of the river from Mears Coppice to Dunns Bank. Road improvements could then be made to Saltbrook Road and Maypole Fields or a dirt track could be paved to the junction with Stour Hill. From there road improvements could lead to the A4100 and East to Cradley Heath interchange.Cycleway:
